06U-11U SKILLS COMPETITIONS

40-YD DASH FASTEST PLAYER - Will consist of participants racing in a straight line 40-yard sprint to determine who is the fastest player in each division.

TIMED RELAY RACE (4 participants per team) - Will consist of four players, one placed on each base. The player placed at home plate will start running with a baseball to 1st base, he will then handoff the baseball to the player at 2nd base who will then run to 3rd base. The same thing will happen until the player at 3rd base touches home plate with the baseball in hand. The baseball must be handed off, a tossed ball will not count. If this violation occurs the time will not count.

TIMED AROUND THE HORN (5 participants per team) - Will consist of a catcher, 1st, 2nd, 3rd baseman and a shortstop. The catcher will be set behind the plate and a baseball will be placed on top of home plate. Once told to start, the catcher will throw to 2nd base (covered by the 2nd baseman) who will then throw to 1st base. The 1st baseman will throw back to 2nd base (covered by the shortstop). The shortstop will throw to the 3rd base. The 3rd baseman will throw to home plate where the time will be stopped once the catcher catches the baseball and is in contact with home plate. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd basemen and shortstop must touch their base before making the next throw, catcher must also touch home on the final throw.

HOME RUN DERBY (1 participant per team) - Each player will receive 10 pitches by a batting practice coach they provide. The pitcher must pitch from behind the L-Screen and must pitch overhand.  The top 2 participants per group will advance to the Home Run Derby Finale. During the finale the participants will only receive 7 pitches. In case of a tie, we will move to a 3 pitch format.

PARKING & ADMISSION

Parking & Admission is free for Friday's ceremonies.

General Parking will be available in the main parking lot and all along the complex.

The back entrance through the courtyard will be open on Friday only.
